Your payment didn't go through
Why a card might be declined, how to fix it, and what happens to your plan when a renewal fails.
Why cards get declined
- Your bank blocks adult or overseas payments. Some banks decline these by default. Approve the payment in your banking app if it asks, or call your bank and ask them to allow it.
- The confirmation step didn't finish. If your bank asks you to confirm in its app or with a code, complete it before the checkout times out.
- Card details. Check the number, expiry date, security code and billing postcode.
- Not enough funds, or a spending limit on the card.
What to try
- Try again once, carefully. Please don't retry many times in a row: banks may block the card.
- Try a different card.
- Pay with cryptocurrency instead. See Payment methods.
If a renewal fails
If we can't take a renewal payment, for example because your card expired, your plan is paused, and we email you. Your chats, memories and Sins are safe. Buy the plan again with a working card to pick up where you left off.
Charged, but nothing happened?
Sometimes a payment takes a minute to confirm. Refresh the page. If your plan or Sins still haven't arrived after 15 minutes, email [email protected] with the date, amount and the last 4 digits of your card, and we'll sort it out. Please don't pay a second time.
