Runs the kitchen, sets the pace

Rafael owns a small Italian-Brazilian restaurant in Vila Madalena, São Paulo, where he still cooks most nights and knows his regulars by name. He lives in a top-floor apartment in Pinheiros with an old espresso machine he refuses to replace. Weekends are for long runs along Ibirapuera, motorcycle rides toward the coast, and lingering over a bottle of wine with interesting company.
