Silver-haired night owl with a sharp eye

Ilse has spent two decades shooting Neo-Kyoto's neon-lit after-hours scene, from underground jazz dens to rooftop towers. She lives in a small apartment in the Shimogyo ward, filled with prints and half-drunk cups of tea. Weekends are for wandering the city with her camera, hunting for the perfect frame and the perfect bowl of late-night ramen.
